Falling In Judo - Instructional Video

Presents a basic lesson in falling correctly. Diverse examples, some with a partner and some without. Finishes with two throws: tai-otoshi (body drop) and seoi-nage (one-armed shoulder throw). As a bonus, Judo Master Maurice Allan has a pleasant voice.

Strictly International Taekwon-do Association (ITF). Sells General Choi Hong Hi's Taekwon-do encyclopedia, both the condensed version and the full 15-volume set, as well as instructional DVD's. Information includes: text descriptions of all patterns, some basic information and several essays regarding various aspects of ITF Taekwon-do, and some basic information regarding Gen. Choi.

Dan Testing Curriculum Breakdown - Text File, Click to Download

Listing of the material to be covered in preparation for a I, II, or III Dan USTF/ITF Taekwon-do test, such that entire spectrum of required knowledge will be addressed in three separate meetings. Also contains a list of all standing kicks up to III Dan in a reference section at the bottom. Although incomplete at this moment, both the curriculum breakdown and reference section will continue grow.

Hardcore Jeet Kune Do - Web Site of Sifu Lamar Davis

Lamar Davis has been training in martial arts for over 40 years. Thirty of those years have been spent studying Jeet Kune Do as taught by Bruce Lee. Perhaps the most accomplished of the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Nucleus group, Davis has ben certified by more than 10 first-generation students of Bruce Lee, including Steve Golden and Leo Fong. Currently teaching outside of Birmingham, AL, Davis is also available for private instruction. This web site contains some basic but informative information of Jeet Kune Do, as well as a wide variety of Jeet Kune Do training equipment, including DVD's and mook jongs.

This web site contains a plethora of videos and pictures of Truls Hotvedt and other Norwegian performing patterns, breaks, sparring, and belt tests in a variety of venues. The real treasure of this web site is the collection of YouTube links showcasing Jaroslaw Suska, V Dan, performing the first 18 ITF patterns. Good lighting and camera work helps clearly exhibit Mr. Suska's high level of technical skill. As a bonus, each video begins with the Korean pronunciation of each pattern. Hapkido Techniques - Video Demonstration

Presents a wide array of skills, demonstrated by Hapkido Master Shin, VIII Dan. Shows many different responses to the straight punch, outside grip (straight grab), and inside grip (cross grab). Also shows Master Shin demonstrating a pattern and some advanced breakfalls. While the pace is pretty fast, Master Shin demonstrates each technique in a step-by-step manner, making them easy to follow.

Hapkido Fighting Techniques - Video Demonstration

Master Shin, VIII Dan in Hapkido, demonstrates some advanced fighting/sparring techniques. These include kicking, boxing, weapons, and takedowns. While this video is more of a showcase of his high level of skill than an instructional video, the viewer can learn a lot based on his responses to the unpredictable black belt. Also, Master Shin is wearing a suit and tie, which is pretty cool.

This article is an attempt to debunk the usefulness of the Sine Wave, which is a major part of ITF Taekwon-do's theory of power. It presents a good argument for the hip twist in actual combat against the sine wave motion.

This article is an inroduction to the Sine Wave used by ITF Taekwon-do. The last half of the article is an explanations of the various types of motions associated with Sine Wave (normal, fast, slow, continuous, and connecting) with examples of when the ITF practioner encounters them in the patterns. Unfortunately, the article is currently missing a photo of a basic mathematical sine wave, but that is easily googled.
